The Abermule game tonight goes ahead

Presteigne St Andrews FC will host Abermule in a Spar Mid Wales League, second-division game at Llanandras Park on Wednesday, 11 April (Kick off: 7.30pm).

Given the heavy rain we have had in recent days, there were obviously some concerns as to the likely state of the pitch but it is ‘game on’ this evening.

I am told that, in racing terms, the going might well be described as ‘heavy in places’ but the pitch is playable.

We head into the game looking for a positive result in order to turn around our recent fortunes that have seen the first team go without a win since 9 December.

In that run, we have taken only one point from a possible 18, so here’s hoping we can improve on that this evening.

In other first team-related news, the scheduled home match against Montgomery Town has been switched to Montgomery.

You might recall we were due to head there last Saturday – 7 April – but that didn’t happen, while we were then due to play the home game this coming weekend.

But the game on Saturday, 14 April will now be played at Montgomery Town, with the home game to be rescheduled for a later date.
