My thanks to Reserve-team joint-manager Mark Weiland for forwarding me details of the Ressies’ pre-season programme ahead of the new Mid Wales League (South) season.
They will open up with an away trip to Shobdon on Tuesday, 31 July before hosting Orleton at Llanandras Park on Friday, 3 August.
Saturday, 11 August will see Alan Stocker and ‘Weedo’ taking their side to Kingstone for their final pre-season friendly before they round things off with a competitive game.
The Reserves are in the Mid Wales League (South) Summer Cup final which will be held at Llanidloes Town on Friday, 17 August.
Given that Rhayader Town did ‘the double’ last season and were promoted, this will be a match up between Llanidloes Town Reserves as league runners-up and Presteigne Reserves as the Pip Samuel (Electrical) League Cup runners-up.
Kick off times for all of these matches will be advised nearer the time.
