Presteigne St Andrews FC will be in MMP with Norman Lloyd League second-division action on Saturday, 12 January.

They will welcome Hay St Mary’s to Llanandras Park for a game that is due to kick off at 2.30pm.

This is bound to be another stiff test of Shaun Harris’ side as Hay are going very well in the league this season with 11 wins from their 14 games.

Hay clearly don’t believe in drawing matches – they are yet to share the spoils in a league fixture this season.

This game represents a pretty quick turn around for the sides as they met at Forest Road on Boxing Day when Hay ran out 5-2 winners.

It has been a really tough run for the first team with eight successive defeats – in fact, you have to look as far back as 24 October for the last three-point haul when they beat Aberystwyth University at Llanandras Park.

But Shaun has moved to strengthen the squad this week and it’s to be hoped this injects some momentum into the season.

A reminder there is no game for the Reserves this week – they were originally due to host Builth Wells Reserves until it was realised there would be a very obvious fixture clash given the first team are also at home.

Admission for the game against Hay St Mary’s will be the usual £3.00 for adults; £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
