Presteigne Reserves’ final Mid Wales League (South) game of the season ended in a 3-1 home defeat by Builth Wells Reserves on Wednesday, 24 April.

The Ressies would have gone into the game hoping to build on the fine 1-1 draw they had managed at champions Talgarth Town in their previous outing.

But, in the end, it wasn’t to be for Alan Stocker’s side as Builth had a bit too much in the tank on the night.

The outstanding league fixtures elsewhere can’t impact on the Reserves’ final position and they have rounded off the season in ninth place in the Mid Wale League (South) table.

There is still the Alfred Sparey Cup final and, presumably, the Hay St Mary’s Ron Ellis Cup final to come.

As soon as we have dates confirmed for these matches we will post them here on the club’s website.
