Given the somewhat soggy start to Saturday morning in the LD8 postcode, it won’t come as a major surprise to learn that the first team’s scheduled MMP with Norman Lloyd League, second division game at Dyffryn Banw has been called off.
To their credit, Dyffryn Banw did warn us on Friday that there was some doubt as their pitch was unplayable at that stage.
They were obviously hoping the predicted strong winds would help in drying out the playing surface but they certainly would not have needed any further rain.
Sadly, an early-morning inspection on Saturday, 15 February led to them making the only realistic decision open to them and so it is ‘game off’.
The next scheduled match for the first team will be on Saturday, 22 February when they will host Abermule at Llanandras Park in a 2.15pm kick off.
