Presteigne St Andrews FC’s chairman Alan Randell has confirmed Adriano Girlolami has been appointed first team manager.
Alan said: “The management selection sub-committee has deliberated long and hard before coming to the decision the first team manager for next season should be Adriano Girolami.”
“I want to stress that both candidates interviewed extremely well and were a credit, but the sub-committee felt Adriano was the right man to lead us next season,” he added.
This will be Adriano’s second spell in charge at Llanandras Park – during his previous period as manager he guided the club to its first-ever Spar Mid Wales League title.
Both candidates made it clear they felt that there would be no ‘quick fix’ to the club’s current situation and it was going to take a lot of hard work to get us back to where we would like to be.
Adriano will now begin the process of player recruitment for next season but he is confident he will be able to attract the right calibre of players to the club to ensure we are competitive in the Spar League second division.
