Presteigne St Andrews FC’s Under 18s are due to play their first home match of the HFA Floodlit Youth League this evening (Thursday, 27 September) when they will take on Lads Club at Llanandras Park.
After the heavy rain of the past few days, there were serious concerns over the chances of last night’s Radnorshire Cup tie going ahead, and also what damage it might do to the pitch.
But the game did go ahead, and the early signs were that the pitch held up well, so it’s to be hoped this evening’s match will go ahead as scheduled.
Club chairman Alan Randell and groundsman Tracy Hammond will have the final say and will presumably take a look at some stage this morning, but all things being equal, it should be ‘game on’ this evening.
The kick off at Llanandras Park will be at 7.30pm and admission prices will be £2.00 for adults and £1.00 for senior citizens and youngsters under the age of 16.
