Your club needs you! AGM 2013

Presteigne St Andrews FC

Presteigne St Andrews FCPresteigne St Andrews FC will hold its Annual General Meeting at the clubhouse at Llanandras Park on Tuesday, 4 June, starting at 7.30pm.

This is a chance for you to have your say on the running of the club as we look ahead to the 2013-14 season.

Club chairman Alan Randell is appealing for a good turn out for the meeting as he says we are in need of new blood on the committee.

“Please can everyone connected with the club – however loosely connected – make every effort to attend this meeting,” he said.

“We need new committee members, so please tell anyone you know who you think might be interested and who might have something to offer.

“We cannot continue with just the same few members doing the vast majority of the work as they did last season,” he added.

Alan is at pains to point out that, just because you might attend the meeting, this doesn’t mean  you are going to be saddled with a job – it might be a case of you putting your name on a list to do the occasional stint on the gate for a home game, or work in the tea hut.

These roles are every bit as vital as holding a club office, but the pool of volunteers has been seriously reduced in recent times and so we are extra help in these key areas.

Even if you can’t make the AGM, if you are willing to help in any way, then please let Alan know as it really was a case of a lot of the work behind the scenes falling to no more than a handful of voluteers last season.

While those individuals are still willing to play their part, they would rather share the load in the coming season.

So, the meeting will be held at 7.30pm on Tuesday, 4 June – please make every effort to attend.
