Presteigne Reserves will open their pre-season programme this evening [Wednesday, 24 July] when they will host Tenbury Wells at Llanandras Park where the kick off will be at 7.00pm.
The exact make-up of the Reserves’ squad is not really clear as much will depend on how many featured for the first team in Tuesday night’s win over Kington Town.
A brief recent conversation with Ressies’ boss Mark Weiland indicated he’s hopeful the vast majority of last season’s squad will remain with the club.
He’s also hoping that his potential pool of players will grow with a few additions, while the potential new arrivals for the first team could also benefit the Reserves in that more players could be available to ‘Weedo’.
It will be interesting to see how they shape up against a Tenbury Wells side that is gearing up for another season in the West Midlands League, second division.
