Presteigne St Andrews FC will continue their build up to the new Spar Mid Wales League, second division campaign when they will take on Ludlow Town at Llanandras Park on Saturday, 27 July.
Danny Williams’ side will go into this game in great spirits after a fine 2-2 draw at Rhayader Town in their first pre-season outing.
They then backed this up with a comprehensive 8-0 home win against Kington Town so there are clearly plenty of goals within the squad.
Ludlow Town arrive at Llanandras Park after a turbulent time in the club’s recent history in which they have had major financial problems.
They play at one of the best facilities for many a mile but, despite this, they had to withdraw from West Midlands League football to return to the Shropshire County League.
But AFC Ludlow are due to play in the West Midlands League, second division this season, so the signs are that the Shropshire club is on the way back.
Here’s hoping this proves to be another good competitive work out for Danny Williams’ side.
