Some difficult-looking games for the Reserves next month

Presteigne Reserves’ hopes of having a major say in the Mid Wales League (South) title race could be determined by the end of January.

The latest round of fixtures have been released and Mark Weiland’s side will face a tough opening to 2014.

They will start the month with a trip to Penybont on Saturday, 4 January – never an easy place to go and especially so now as the ‘bont are looking as though they are getting into their stride.

Then it will be Emrys Morgan Cup duty and the visit of Newcastle Emlyn to Llanandras Park on Saturday, 11 January.

This will be followed up by a home match against Sennybridge, while the month will be rounded off with a trip to Newcastle..

So, this could be a month in which the Reserves’ title credentials are seriously put to the test and, if they are still in the hunt come the start of February, then they will have done well.

The fixtures have been added into the Reserves grid for this season – as per normal, if you fancy taking a look, then hover your cursor above the ‘Reserves’ tab and then click on the relevant tab for this season.
