In news that will come as a surprise to almost nobody, the Spar Mid Wales League, second division game at Talgarth Town scheduled for today, Saturday, 1 February, has been postponed.
The omens were not looking too promising yesterday when Talgarth Town tweeted that if the promised rain did, indeed, show up, then there was ‘no chance’ of the game going ahead.
Given it tipped it down for most of Friday, then it was no great shock that the news came through early this morning that the game was off.
So, another blank weekend and so the new management team of Danny Ives and Simon Hamer can now turn its attention to plotting the downfall of Llandrindod Wells in the Central Wales Cup at Llanandras Park on Friday, 7 February.
