Congratulations to Presteigne Reserves who are through to the semi-finals of the prestigious J Emrys Morgan Cup after a 3-1 victory at Llanfechain in today’s quarter-final tie.
I have only scant details so far, but I do know that Duane ‘goal machine’ Anning appears to have lost little of his touch during the enforced lay off due to the weather.
Duane netted twice for Mark Weiland’s side, while Alan Stocker – who also weighs in with his share of goals – was also on target.
Clearly there had been concern about just how the side would react to the long ‘gameless’ spell, but it clearly didn’t affect them too badly.
I will catch up with Mark Weiland for more details at some stage over the next day or so, but common sense tells me there would be little point in trying this evening….
