After a great weekend last time around in which both teams picked up important wins, it is back to it on Saturday, 29 March when the first team will face another derby game – this time against Hay St Marys.

Last weekend saw player-manager Danny Ives oversee his first win in charge as the first team saw off Newbridge 3-2 at Llanandras Park.

So, this is a chance to back up that result against a Hay side that is currently sitting in fourth place in the Spar Mid Wales League, second division table.

But this will be far from easy – a glance at that league table would tell you that Hay are unbeaten away from home this season.

Max Powell will miss this one due to suspension but, other than this, Danny doesn’t report too many more problems.

As for the Reserves, they are on the road again as they make the long trip to south Breconshire for a game against Sennybridge.

Mark Weiland’s side will need to dust itself down after the disappointment of their semi-final exit in the J Emrys  Morgan Cup on Wednesday night as this will be another stiff test.

But they will take heart from the fact they were the first team to beat Sennybridge in the Mid Wales League (South) this season when they ran out 1-0 winners at Llanandras Park earlier in the month.

The first-team match against Hay St Marys is due to kick off at 2.30pm and the admission prices will be the usual £2.50 for adults, £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
