Apologies for the delay in posting the outcome of the matches on Saturday, 29 March but ‘better late than never’ as they say.
This was largely because I was on the High Road, or was it the Low Road, to Scotland to cover a national basketball final for work and so was out of the loop.
I genuinely didn’t know the results myself until Monday morning and could soon see just why the chairman hadn’t given me a call this weekend.
The first team was beaten 8-0 by visiting Hay St Marys in their Spar Mid Wales League, second division game at Llanandras Park.
I don’t have too many details on this one as yet – cynics might say just as well – but will endeavour to try to find out a bit more later in the day.
The Reserves came away from Sennybridge with a very good point from a 0-0 draw in their Mid Wales League (South) fixture at the Riverside.
Again, I don’t know too many details as yet, although the early signs from some pictures posted on Facebook by Tom Ammonds would indicate this was a ‘physical’ game.
But well done to the Reserves – they were the first side to beat Sennybridge in the league earlier in the month and have now taken four points from a possible six from the Breconshire club.
