Presteigne St Andrews FC are delighted to be able to report that today’s Hereford Junior League Under 17s game will go ahead as scheduled.

The heavy rain of the past 24 hours or so meant there was a precautionary pitch inspection at 9.00am on Sunday morning.

But the good news is that it is ‘all systems go’ for the Under 17s’ home game against Ledbury Swifts Rovers this afternoon at Llanandras Park.

The fact there was no game on the ground yesterday was clearly a bonus and so here’s hoping the Under 17s can pick up the result they need to kick-start their season.

This will be a decent test of Haydn Williams and Alan Crighton’s side as Ledbury currently top the table with a record of three wins from their opening four matches.

If you are at a loose end, why not pop down and take a look at the next generation of Presteigne footballers?

I am sure they would welcome your support – the kick off at Llanandras Park will be at 2.00pm.
