My thanks to the club’s vice-chairman Tom Ammonds for forwarding the details of the draws for the early stages of the Presteigne Otway Cup and the Alfred Sparey Cup.
Tom tells me he will be in touch with the respective clubs to sort out dates for matches.
It is good to see a healthy entry for the two cups and especially good to see Weobley as a new entry into the Sparey Cup.
These draws were made at the club’s committee meeting on Wednesday, 26 November and are as follows:
The Otway Cup – sponsored by KC Electrical – is two straight semi-finals at Llanandras Park, the dates of which are yet to be confirmed.
Presteigne St Andrews v Hay St Marys
Kington Town v Rhosgoch Rangers
As for the Alfred Sparey Cup, there are seven clubs entered into this competition and the draw for the quarter-finals is as follows:
Knighton Reserves v Kington Town Reserves
Weobley v Radnor Valley
Hay St Marys Reserves v Newcastle Reserves
