Tywyn Bryncrug will be at Llanandras Park

Presteigne St Andrews FC have been handed a home tie in the first qualifying round of the FAW JD Welsh Cup.

Tywyn Bryncrug will be the visitors to Llanandras Park in one of eight ties in the central section of the draw.

The date for the tie is yet to be finalised, but at least we will have home advantage for this one as it is a long way to Tywyn!

The Ceredigion side finished in twelfth place in the first division of the Spar Mid Wales League last season.

Among the other local ties, Knighton Town will host Kerry, while Newbridge face a trip to Berriew and Hay St Marys will be at home to Llansantffraid Village.

Meanwhile, in the Central Wales FA Cup, Presteigne St Andrews are safely through to the second round without kicking a ball.

In common with the vast majority of clubs at this stage, we were handed a bye in that competition.
