Presteigne St Andrews FC’s first-team fixtures have now been finalised for November and December.
There were various ‘ifs and buts’ due to respective clubs’ involvement in the cup competitions, but we now know who are are likely to run into between now and the Christmas period.
It will all start with a Central Wales Cup tie against Radnor Valley at Llanandras Park on Saturday, 31 October and will, rather neatly, be bookended by our ‘friends from over the hill’ as we will round off this section of the season with a trip to Radnor on Monday, 28 December.
Please note that this game has been moved from its original Boxing Day date so will now be played 48 hours later.
November will see Jamie Allen’s side open with home matches against Penybont and Dyffryn Banw before they will face three successive road trips.
They will head to Aberystwyth University, Builth Wells and Bettws before returning to Llanandras Park for a home game against Four Crosses on Saturday, 12 December.
There will then be no game on 19 December so the players will have a lengthy break before returning to action on 28 December with that trip to Radnor Valley.
These fixtures have now been added into the drop down menu at the top of the page – simply hover your cursor over the ‘First Team’ tab and select the current season from the list that will appear.
As for the Reserves, their fixtures are also out, but ‘Weedo’s’ boys are not going to be over-exerted during November.
As things stand, they have only two games scheduled for the month, but they will be two big ones.
They will head to Brecon Town for a J Emrys Morgan Cup second-round game and then will host the Mid Wales (South) leaders, Rhayader Town Reserves.
There could then to be a J Emrys Morgan Cup third-round tie in there – that is scheduled for Saturday, 28 November but, failing that, there is likely to be a league game that day.
