The Reserves will play Hay at home this afternoon

Presteigne St Andrews FC are delighted to report that – after early-morning inspections – both scheduled games will go ahead as planned on Saturday, 28 November.

The first team will head to Builth Wells for their Spar Mid Wales League, second-division match and it is reporter there are no issues with the Lant Field playing surface, so that one will go ahead.

There were initial concerns on Friday as to the state of the pitch at Llanandras Park, but this was largely down to weather earlier in the week.

The ground staff had been unable to get on to the pitch to do their usual work on it and they were a bit concerned time would be running short.

But Tracy Hammond and his team of helpers have worked their usual miracle and so the Reserves’ home Mid Wales League (South) match against Hay St Mary’s Reserves will go ahead as scheduled.

The kick off time for this one will be at the slightly unusual time of 2.15pm – I have no idea why, but reports the game is being carried live on television are being denied by Sky and BT Sport….

But, it will be a 2.15pm kick off at Llanandras Park – so make sure you get there on time and get behind the new Ressies’ management team in this their first home game in charge.
