My thanks to Presteigne St Andrews FC’s cup secretary Alan Stocker who has confirmed the Alfred Sparey Cup semi-final between Presteigne Reserves and Newcastle will take place on Tuesday, 3 May.
Given the need to get these ties in as quickly as we can now in order to allow the grounds staff as long as possible to work on the pitch during the summer months, it is important we take every possible chance to get the games in.
So, well done to both managers and the club officials for arranging this game at short notice.
I am told the clubs got together over the weekend and arranged the fixture then – hence, the short notice.
The kick off at Llanandras Park will be at 7.30pm and the admission prices will be as for the Reserve-team matches – so, £2.00 for adults and £1.00 for senior citizens and youngsters under the age of 16.
