We are out of the FAW Trophy after a narrow home defeat

Presteigne St Andrews FC bowed out of the FAW Trophy after they were beaten 1-0 by visiting Radnor Valley in their second-round tie at Llanandras Park on Saturday, 3 September.

I don’t have any details at all as yet regarding the performance but, given Radnor Valley are a division higher than Presteigne this season, the scoreline would suggest the game was competitive.

As soon as I come by any additional details on the game I will post them here.

While it is always disappointing to bow out of any cup competition, there can be little doubt an improvement in league fortunes was always likely to be the top priority for Tom Ammonds when he took over as manager.

It’s to be hoped they can build on what has generally been a promising start when they return to action on Saturday, 10 September when Dolgellau Athletic will be the visitors to Llanandras Park (Kick Off: 2.30pm).

This will be more of a benchmark as the sides met at Dolgellau on the opening day of the season and so hopefully it would be easier to gauge just how much progress has been made in the last month.
