Presteigne St Andrews FC will return to Spar Mid Wales League action on Saturday, 28 January when they will entertain Abermule at Llanandras Park.

Meanwhile, the Reserves will be on the road when they will head to the Racecourse to take on Penybont Reserves in a Mid Wales League (South) fixture.

Given the intermittent nature of the first team fixtures between now and the end of the season, this will be something of a rarity in that both teams will be playing on the same day.

The first team will be looking to exact a little retribution when they host Abermule – Tom Ammonds’ side was on the wrong end of a 6-1 scoreline when the sides met in Montgomeryshire back on 1 October.

But ‘Ammo’s’side is unbeaten in four games and drew their last outing 1-1 against Newbridge-on-Wye at Llanandras Park.

As for the Reserves, they will head to a Penybont Reserves side that is two points off the foot of the table, while a win for Dale Tomkins’ side could take them up to fourth in the table if other results go their way.

The kick off for the first-team game at Llanandas Park will be at 2.30pm and admission will be the usual £3.00 for adults; £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
