Presteigne St Andrews FC will make the short trip to Radnor Valley on Saturday, 22 July.
Manager Shaun Harris was pleased by his side’s performance and work rate in the defeat at Lads Club in the week, but felt there was still the need to work on the fitness levels.
He also lost a couple of defenders to injury during that game while they were without a first-choice goalkeeper.
It is nor promising to be a whole lot easier this afternoon in terms of the opposition as Radnor Valley have been on a very good run in recent seasons.
In many ways they have taken the path Presteigne are aspiring to take – establishing themselves in the second division, then winning promotion before further establishing themselves at the higher level in division one.
Meanwhile, the Reserves will open their pre-season programme with a trip to Holme Lacy Reserves.
The kick off at Radnor Valley will be at 2.30pm and it’s hoped to have some reaction to the game up online later on Saturday or on Sunday.
