Despite the best efforts of both clubs to get the scheduled trip to Montgomery Town played on its scheduled date of Saturday, 7 April, it has been postponed.
It was clear on Saturday morning that Montgomery’s home ground wasn’t going to be fit so Monty then looked around for an alternative.
This centred on a proposal to play the game at Newtown’s Latham Park with a 5.00pm kick off.
But, after discussions with players, it emerged that a number would be unavailable to make that trip due to other commitments.
This is fair enough as, if you were planning on a 2.30pm kick off and it’s then switched to 5.00pm, clearly that’s not going to work for everyone.
Our thanks to Montgomery Town for having the vision to investigate alternatives and we’re only sorry it didn’t work out this time.
So, another game to be rescheduled, but we won’t have long to wait until we do take on Montgomery Town as they are due at Llanandras Park on Saturday, 14 April.
