Friday-night action for the Reserves

Presteigne St Andrews FC
A lovely evening to watch a bit of football

Presteigne Reserves will be back in action on Friday, 20 April when they will host Llandrindod Wells Reserves in a Mid Wales League (South) fixture at Llanandras Park.

This game was originally scheduled for Saturday, 21 April, but it’s been agreed to move it forward to the Friday evening when the kick off will be at 7.30pm.

These two sides will know each other pretty well as they met only last weekend in the semi-final of the Pip Samuel (Electrical) Cup – the League Cup for the ‘South’.

On that occasion, Mark Weiland and Alan Stocker’s side came through 2-1 so they will be looking for a quick-fire double over tonight’s opponents.

While Presteigne Reserves will start as favourites for this one, I am pretty sure the management team will be stressing the need for no complacency among the squad because, while Llan’dod Reserves are second-bottom of the table, they have four league wins to their name this season.

So, a 7.30pm kick off at Llanandras Park this evening and it’s hoped to have the result up online at some stage on Friday evening.
