The final home league game of the season

Presteigne St Andrews FC will bring down the curtain on their Spar Mid Wales League second-division season on Saturday, 12 May when they will host Montgomery Town at Llanandras Park.

This fixture has been shifted around for various reasons – most of which were weather-related – but it has finally been confirmed for this weekend.

It has been a tough second half of the season for Shaun Harris’ side but the Presteigne manager will be keen to end the campaign on a high note.

Both league meetings have come close to the end of the campaign – goals from Tom Crichton and Jamie Blythe helped the first team to a 2-1 win at Montgomery on 14 April.

So, they will be aiming to complete the league double over Monty in this one while a point from today’s game would ensure Presteigne would remain out of the bottom two places.

The kick off at Llanandras Park will be at 2.30pm and admission prices will be the usual £3.00 for adults; £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
