Brecon Northcote will be the first visitors to Llanandras Park this season

The Mid Wales League, second division fixtures for the first two months of the 2018-19 season have been released.

From the outset, the league has a new title this season as it will be known as the MMP with Norman Lloyd Mid Wales League.

As per usual, there will be some long-distance trips this season but the way the fixtures have dropped mean Shaun Harris’ side will make the longer trips very early on.

The season will open on Saturday, 11 August with an away trip to Machynlleth while the first home game will see Brecon Northcote head to Llanandras Park for a 7.30pm kick off on Wednesday, 15 August.

We are then scheduled to host newly-promoted Waterloo Rovers on Saturday, 15 August, but this is a FAW Trophy conference date so that fixture will presumably be dependent on the outcome of the draw for the first round (qualifying) for both ourselves and Waterloo Rovers.

We will round off the opening month of the season with a home game against another of the newly-promoted sides – Four Crosses will be with us on Saturday, 25 August.

As we start August with a long trip, so the same is true for September as Saturday, 8 September will see Shaun and the boys off to Dolgellau.

The first Friday-night fixture of the season will be at Hay St Mary’s on 14 September while September will be rounded off with a home match against Montgomery Town and then a trip to Dyffryn Banw but the Hay and ‘Banw’ games fall on knockout competition conference dates so will be subject to change.

The fixtures in full are available by hovering your cursor over the ‘First Team’ button at the top of the page and then clicking on the relevant button from the drop down menu.
