Presteigne St Andrews FC continued their build up to the new season with a 3-3 draw against Holme Lacy at Llanandras Park on Tuesday, 31 July.
This was another useful work out for Shaun Harris’ squad although, once again, the holiday season meant he was unable to field a full-strength squad.
Work commitments were another factor but then this is the nature of trying to field sides at this time of the year.
Meanwhile, the Reserves opened their pre-season programme with a 4-1 defeat at a strong Shobdon side.
Shobdon have benefited to a degree from the recent demise of Leominster Town and they have reportedly picked up a few players as a result of this.
The Reserves will continue their build up on Friday, 3 August when they will entertain Orleton Colts at Llanandras Park.
The kick off in this one will be at 7.30pm.
