Presteigne St Andrews FC went down to a 3-2 home defeat in their MMP with Norman Lloyd League second-division match at Llanandras Park on Saturday, 5 January.
Shaun Harris and his squad would surely have been targeting this game as they had drawn up at Machynlleth on the opening day of the season.
On top of this, Mach were only three points better off than Presteigne heading into this one so they would have been looking to make home advantage count.
But, in the end, it wasn’t to be and the first team slipped to what was their fifth home defeat in eight league matches so far this season.
They will have a chance to improve on that record on Saturday, 12 January when they will host Hay St Mary’s at Llanandras Park.
The kick off in that one will be at 2.30pm
