Presteigne St Andrews FC rounded off their home programme in the MMP with Norman Lloyd League, second division with a 5-3 home reversal against Dolgellau on Saturday, 2 March.
Shaun Harris’ side took the lead in this one when Tom Lewis was on target but Dolgellau were soon back on level terms.
Presteigne had a gilt-edged chance to regain the lead when they were awarded a penalty but it went begging and Dolgellau made them pay when they then went in front 2-1.
Keanu Barnett then netted to square the game at 2-2, only for Dolgellau to once again go in front as they went 3-2 up – and then extended their advantage to 4-2 and seemingly out of the reach of the home side.
Neil Walmsley put Presteigne back in the game when he scored to cut the deficit to 4-3, but Dolgellau were to have the final say when they put the game beyond Presteigne’s reach in sealing a 5-3 victory.
Presteigne have only one league game remaining but it looks as though they will have to wait until April to complete their programme when they will head to Four Crosses.
