Congratulations to Llandrindod Wells who won this season’s Presteigne Otway Cup competition.
The Spa side came through 4-1 in the final against host club Presteigne St Andrews on Sunday, 19 May.
Early reports suggest the home side was a bit slow out of the traps in the first half and Llan’dod were more than good enough to take advantage of this.
To their credit, Presteigne rallied after the break to produce a much-improved second-half showing but the damage was done and Llandrindod Wells deservedly lifted the trophy.
Presteigne St Andrews FC’s officials and committee would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to make the day a successful one.
So, this brings down the curtain on the senior season at Llanandras Park and our thanks as well to everyone who has either played for either side this season or who has worked hard behind the scenes to ensure things have run smoothly.
I am not going to name any name because, were I to do so, then I would probably miss someone out and that would be unforgivable so many thanks to everyone who has been involved.
