Yes, people, it’s that time of the year again when your subscription for the Social Club falls due.
Haydn Williams is urging players involved in the game against Newtown Wanderers on Saturday, 3 August to pay their subscriptions after the match.
“Last season the scheme was very well supported,” said Haydn.
“For their £5.00 annual subscription, members enjoyed cheap drinks, a free pint after buying eight [Editor’s note: Not necessarily eight on the same night!] and access to free WiFi .
“For us to continue this we need the membership to be as well supported this season – it’s only a fiver.
“We are also looking for match-day helpers if anyone can offer assistance.
“All of the work done by the social club is voluntary and it’s hard work as it’s usually the same few that do it week in, week out.
“If you can help with players food, bar work, gate duties or tea hut duties or even collecting glasses in the bar after games please let me know
“The club doesn’t function without the hard work of everyone behind the scenes, both on match days, clearing up the next day and with the preparations during the week.”
