Presteigne St Andrews FC had been hoping to take on Bishops Castle FC in a friendly at Llanandras Park on Tuesday, 18 January.
I am guessing the fact the top line of this article includes the words: ‘had been hoping to…’ is a small clue, but, yes, the match is off.
Parts of the Llanandras Park playing surface are frozen and so there was no way the game could have gone ahead.
Our thanks to Bishops Castle for initially agreeing to provide the opposition for the proposed game and we wish them well for the rest of the season.
Presteigne St Andrews are due to return to action on Saturday, 22 January when they will host Newcastle FC at Llanandras Park, while CP Llanandras are due to travel to Felindre.
