CP Llanandras’ Bucknell Cup first-round tie at Hinton is to be decided on the toss of a coin after both clubs agreed it is going to be almost impossible to arrange the game for what would be the fourth or fifth time – we have lost count.

After speaking to the CP Llanandras manager Andy Crowe, Presteigne’s cup secretary Trevor Owens contacted Hinton’s chairman Graham Goodfellow proposing that this might be the best way forward and Graham confirmed Hinton had arrived at the same conclusion.

They are having problems with the floodlights at their Broomy Hill headquarters and had arranged the tie for Hereford Leisure Centre when it was last due to be played, but the weather again beat us.

As CP Llanandras are facing a very busy March with two ‘double up’ weekends of Mid Wales League (South) fixtures, we have agreed to ask the match referee at the Under 18s game on Monday 1 March to do the coin toss for us, with Hinton on the end of a phone.

The winners of the tie will take on Presteigne Reserves in the semi-final of the Bucknell Cup.
