Time to strain the brain…

Teams of four are needed for Thursday night

Presteigne St Andrews FC’s annual quiz will be held at the Football Club on Thursday 1 April and it is expected there will be a good turn out of teams.

Interest levels have been high for what is traditionally a good night at the social club as the majority of teams try to get close to the ‘pre-quiz favourites’, Norton United.

Tim ‘Paxman’ Sanders will be firing the questions and initial soundings suggest there will be a wide variety of topics covered in the quiz.

You don’t have to concern yourself over being a football expert as it is the Football Club quiz – while there might be a round on sport, you are every bit as likely to be asked questions on history, geography or music as you are on football.

As to just how hard the questions will be, well, suffice to say Tim – as a Villa fan – was putting the questions together during last Saturday’s 7-1 defeat by Chelsea and this might not have helped his generosity of spirit a great deal…!

The bar will be open for business and it is hoped the evening will be the best way possible to start the Easter break.

The quiz is due to get underway at 8.00pm, but teams are advised to get there early as tables are likely to go quickly.
