Presteigne’s early-season injury concerns deepened with the news that skipper Max Powell is likely to be out for up to eight weeks with ankle ligament damage.   Max picked up the injury during the 3-0 defeat at Rhayader.

Fortunately the injury was not as serious as first feared, but manager Tim Broome will be hoping for a change in fortune on the injury front.  In addition to Max’s setback, Tim is also without Shane Sutton and Tom Goodwin who are both yet to kick a ball competitively for the club this season.

Glen Tolley, Luke Hicks and Mattie Davies are also facing battles to regain fitness while Shaun Prince is serving a suspension after a red card at Rhayader and so he could be missing for three matches.
