Radnorshire Cup date confirmed

Max Powell lifts the Radnorshire Cup after last season's victory

Presteigne St Andrews will have a Wednesday-evening date at Llandrindod Wells later this month when they will meet the Spa side at the Broadway in their Aspidistra Radnorshire Cup quarter-final tie.

The match has been fixed for Wednesday 27 October when the kick off will be at 7.30pm.

Assuming the weather doesn’t play a part and lead to postponements, this game will be the last of the four quarter-final ties to be played.

Radnor Valley will host Hay St Marys on Sunday 17 October (kick off 2.00pm), while the other two ties will be played a week later on Sunday 24 October in which Builth Wells will entertain Penybont and cup favourites Rhayader Town will head to Bryn-y-Castell to take on Knighton Town – both matches are also due to kick off at 2.00pm.

While on the subject of cup competitions, it has been brought to my attention that the Under 18s’ home match against Pegasus Juniors that has been scheduled for Monday 18 October is, in fact, a Giantkillers Cup tie, rather than a league match.
