Match previews for the weekend are online

Presteigne St Andrews FC
Barry Williams is looking to his side to build on its recent improved form

Presteigne St Andrews will again have home advantage for their Spar Mid Wales League, first division match this weekend in which they will take on Tywyn Bryncrug at Llanandras Park on Saturday 5 March.

Manager Barry Williams says his side will take heart from their last two outings in which they have taken four points from a possible six, and will feel they really should have had all six.

Danny Ives will return to the squad after suspension, but Darren Preece will miss out as he has a hamstring injury.

Goalkeeper Luke Brimfield is on his way back after a calf injury but it has been decided he will make the trip to Knighton Victoria with the Reserves.

Andy Crowe says he is looking for a positive response to his side’s disappointing defeat at St Harmon last weekend when they head to Bryn-y-Castell.

It is expected that a couple of former Reserve-team players – Jamie Blythe and James Watkins – might well feature for Victoria all of which could add a bit of extra spice to the occasion.

In addition to the inclusion of the fit-again Luke Brimfield in goal, ‘Crowie’ is also hoping that Christian Roberts and Andy White might well figure after they missed the trip to St Harmon are complaining of illness on the morning of the match.

Match reports are expected to appear online at some stage on either Sunday 6 or Monday 7 March.
