Presteigne St Andrews FC are urgently seeking a pre-season friendly fixture for this coming Saturday afternoon – 6 August – after they were let down at short notice by their scheduled opponents.
Manager Trevor Gummer says it is frustrating, but there is nothing that can be done about it other than look for a replacement fixture.
“We were due to play Brecon Town but they now can’t make it due to ‘an issue with time’,” explained Trevor.
“So we are on the look out for any side who feels they would like a game as it is clearly an important weekend for us given we have the Welsh Cup tie only a week later.

While the first team would prefer to play at home, Trevor says he is not averse to travelling away for a game on Saturday if it means they get the right kind of opposition.
