My thanks to those who have quite rightly pointed out a couple of omissions from the list of credits for their efforts at the Fun Day and Beer Festival.
First of all, Annie Davies – or, as she is still pretty much universally known – ‘Annie Buff’ for her efforts with the barbecue.
This was much appreciated by all members of the committee and, no doubt, by those who consumed the finished product, so Annie, take a bow…
Then, there was a lady described to me as: ‘Duane’s missus’ although my correspondent apologises profusely for not knowing her name – but thanks to Tom Ammonds, I now we are speaking of Amy.
Amy helped out behind the bar despite having her arm in a sling and we would like to express our thanks to her as well, as well as Kelly Small, whom I am told provided invaluable help when it came to organising the trade stands.
Once again, our thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make the Fun Day and Beer Festival the unqualified success it was – it is already pencilled in for next year!
