Tough looking January for the Reserves

The Reserves face some tough games at the start of the new year

Presteigne Reserves are facing a difficult looking programme of games in January including matches against two of the Mid Wales League (South)’s top three clubs.

After an extended Christmas break – Skiddy’s side won’t have played since Saturday, 10 December when they were narrowly beaten at Brecon Town – the Reserves will return to action with a trip to a much-improved Radnor Valley side on Saturday, 7 January.

The rest of the month will feature a home game against a Builth Wells Reserves side that is third in the table, followed by an away day at the Racecourse for a match against second-placed Penybont.

January will be rounded off with a home match against a Bucknell side that has settled in well to life back in the Mid Wales League (South) after a couple of seasons in Herefordshire League football.

The Reserves have slid down the table in recent times and are currently third off the foot of the division although they have games in hand over the clubs immediately above them – St Harmon and Brecon Town.
