Under 18s miss out at Llandrindod Wells

Under 18s boss Roy Simcock was bitterly disappointed by this showing

Presteigne St Andrews Under 18s produced what was arguably their most disappointing performance of the season in slumping to a 1-0 defeat at Llandrindod Wells on Wednesday, 11 April.

Manager Roy Simcock had major selection headaches with no fewer than seven players missing out due to injury and illness, but he refused to use this as an excuse.

Roy felt that, even allowing for this, his squad should still have had enough ammunition in its locker to have caused Llan’dod far more problems that they actually did.

I won’t put up online the terse, two-word summary of the game Roy initially sent me after the final whistle, but rather will upload a more detailed match report that has since turned up on ‘BookFace’.

I hope to get this up online at some stage on Friday, 13 April, as well as a preview of the weekend action for both the first team and the Reserves.

The Under 18s are scheduled to round off their season next Thursday (19 April) when they will host Leominster Minors at Llanandras Park in a 7.30pm kick off.
