Presteigne St Andrews FC will again be on the road this weekend when they will head to Four Crosses for a Spar Mid Wales League, second division game.

In terms of the league table, there isn’t much to choose between the sides going into this one.

Four Crosses are one point and two places better off than Presteigne in eighth place, although they have played one fewer game.

Luke Brimfield has served his one-match suspension following his dismissal at Abermule so presumably he comes into the reckoning, but others are missing, although  manager Tom Ammonds is able to call on a number of other players.

As is normally the case with midweek matches, college commitments get in the way and so Tom had to shuffle the pack for the home game against Aberystwyth University.

“We have a whole load of players missing tomorrow – Matt Strangwood, Ashley Griffiths, Danny Evans and Mark Weiland are all unavailable,” said Tom.

“But returning are John Cawley, Alan Stocker, Luke Brimfield, Shane Griffiths and Kieran Lusher.

“I am also hoping to include a new signing but am still awaiting confirmation on that.

“Tom Crichton and Ioan Hughes retain there places after impressing in mid-week.

“Four Crosses are just above us but I am hoping to keep building on Tuesday.

“They have scored nine and conceded nine in the games they have played so obviously it will be tough but we will be going there with the aim of bringing back 3 points,” he added.

As for the Reserves, they had been due to be playing St Harmon in the first round of the Pip Samuel (Electrical) League Cup, but this game has been postponed.
