Here’s hoping the weather plays its part and, assuming it does, then both the first team and the Reserves are due in action on Saturday, 3 February.

There is a sense of deja vu over the first team fixture as they will be off to Newbridge-on-Wye in the Spar Mid Wales League second division.

This was the game Shaun Harris’ side was due to play last weekend but it was called off then due to a waterlogged pitch.

We were informed this week that, rather than head to Montgomery Town as originally scheduled, we are now going to give Newbridge a second crack.

The game at Newbridge is due to kick off at 2.15pm.

As for the form guide, well, Newbridge are currently 10th in the table – three places and six points behind Presteigne who also have a game in hand.

Meanwhile, the Reserves will be back in action at Llanandras Park where they will host the Mid Wales League (South)’s bottom side, Felindre.

The league newcomers have found it tough so far this season, but they have shown signs of improvement and are picking up points.

There was their first win of the season over Llandrindod Wells Reserves, while they picked up an encouraging point last time out when they drew 2-2 at Hay St Mary’s Reserves.

The kick off for the Reserves game will be at 2.15pm and admission prices will be the usual £2.00 for adults and £1.00 for senior citizens and youngsters under the age of 16.
