It is Thursday-night action for the first team when they will host Churchstoke in a MMP with Norman Lloyd second-division game on 19 September.

Manager Terry Williams will doubtless be encouraging his side to park all memories of the FAW Trophy defeat by Caersws and focus solely on putting league points on the board in this one.

This will surely go down as a great opportunity as Churchstoke are level on points with Presteigne towards the foot of the table.

The visitors have lost all four away games so far this season with their one win from their opening six games coming in their first home game of the season on Tuesday, 13 August when they beat visiting Knighton Town 5-2.

But Churchstoke will also be looking on this match in a similar way – a chance for them to break their duck on the road this season.

On the face of it, there is little to choose between the sides as both have played six games and have three points with Churchstoke’s goal difference being one better than that of Presteigne.

I am sure the first-team squad would welcome all the support they could get for this one as a win this evening would take them above tonight’s visitors.

Kick Off at Llanandras Park will be at 7.30pm and the admission prices will be the usual £3.00 for adults; £1.50 for senior citizens and £1.00 for youngsters under the age of 16.
