If you fancy a sortie out on the town this evening, then why not take in the Royal British Legion Club at around 9.00pm for the July draw for Presteigne St Andrews FC’s 100 Club.
This often rivetting spectacle involves a small group of people gathering around a small bag in which are contained balls bearing the numbers of all those in the 100 Club.
‘Mine host’ is then usually asked to do the honours and pull out the lucky winners who can ‘earn’ themselves anything from £100.00.
The names of the winners will be published online at some stage as soon as I can glean the necessary information from the chairman, which will probably be over an executive breakfast in a well-known local cafe at some stage on Saturday morning.
Good luck to all of those in the 100 Club draw this evening (but especially me…) – just a reminder that we are getting towards that time of the year when the subscriptions will be due, so members of the committee will soon come armed with reminder letters.
