Presteigne Colts are to hold a Fun Day at Llanandras Park on Saturday, 14 July in an effort to raise some funds to help further junior football in the town.
The junior section has been growing in strength in recent years with a number of notable successes along the way, not least last season when at least one age-group team appeared in the end-of-season finals at Edgar Street.
But, as with all these things, there is a cost involved in providing junior football and it’s to be hoped that there is a good turn out of friends family and anyone else who fancies an afternoon out.
There is no shortage of entertainment planned, including the obligatory bouncy castle, while there will also be a barbecue, a penalty shoot-out and music – so, something for all tastes, really.
If you fancy bagging yourself a bargain, or, indeed, making a bit of room around home and earning yourself a few quid, then there will be a car boot sale.

The event will run from midday until around 4.00pm, so if you are at a loose end and you fancy a day out for yourself and the family that needn’t cost a fortune, then head down to the Football Club on Saturday, 14 July.
