Presteigne St Andrews FC opened their pre-season game with a draw at Builth Wells in what must have been an encouraging start for manager Adriano Girolami.
The game at Lant Field ended 2-2 with Christian Roberts scoring both Presteigne goals in what was described as a good work out.
Presteigne twice took the lead but were pegged back on each occasion with Builth’s second goal reportedly coming in the closing minutes of the game.
But, even allowing for the old adage of ‘you can never read too much into the results of pre-season games’ there is no doubt this is a pretty good start – there will be more decent tests to come so it’s onwards and upwards!
