Presteigne Reserves’ first sortie into the world of the pre-season friendly this season is going to have to wait a while longer after it was confirmed Thursday night’s fixture has been cancelled.
Bobby Morgan and Mark Weiland’s side was due to host Malvern Rangers at Llanandras Park on 2 August, but I have today been told the Worcestershire club is unable to raise a team for the match.
So, unless I am advised differently, it now appears the first friendly for the Reserves will be on Sunday afternoon (5 August) when they host Leintwardine in a 3.00pm kick off, followed by a further home game next Tuesday evening (7 August) in which they will entertain Clee Hill at Llanandras Park when the kick off will be at 7.30pm.
A reminder the first team will be in action this evening – they head to Newtown Academy for their game which is due to get underway at 7.30pm.
